Obituary Captain William H. Webb

Captain Webb, who served as a captain in the 2nd Illinois Cavalry of the civil war, died at his home in this city (Luray), February 16, 1905, after a lingering illness of twelve months, of dropsy and heart trouble. He formerly lived in Havana, Illinois but has been a resident of this place for about four years.

He leaves to mourn his loss, a wife, and one son, of this place, and one daughter, Mrs. Dr. Paul of Forest City, Illinois. The funeral was largely attended, which was conducted by Rev. Pollock, the pall bearers being old soldiers of the civil War.
