BILL GOLBRICHT
Bill Golbricht, 35, of Wyaconda passed away Tuesday morning, February 7, 2006 at his father's residence in Gorin.
He was born the son of Donald and Barbara Golbricht on October 27, 1970 in Keosauqua, Iowa.
Bill owned and operated the Wyaconda Garage for several years. He loved working on machines, especially antique tractors. Bill was very interested in local history, often scouring EBay for anything to do with Wyaconda, Gorin, or Ella Ewing. He had been a member of the Wyaconda Fire Department since 1991 and was elected to the Wyaconda School Board from 2001-2004.
More than anything, Bill adored his three children. His happiest moments were spent with them. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barb, and grandmother, Irene Clatt.
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Kay Golbricht, Miranda Jordan Golbricht, and Kyle Martin Golbricht all of Luray; his father, Donald Golbricht of Gorin; his sister, Shelly and husband Victor MacDonald of Sarasota, FL; aunts and uncles, Nelson and wife Patty Golbricht of Gorin, Robert and Linda Eddleman of Kahoka; and Billy and Eva Eddleman of Missouri; his great aunt, Martha Coop of Wayland; special friends, Heather Fulk of LaGrange and Durinda Bogguss and Brad and Candy Kirchner, all of Wyaconda; many nieces and nephews, and host of friends.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2006 at the Wyaconda Christian Church with Pastors Shawn McAfee and Mark Boley officiating. Burial was in the Gorin Cemetery. Jeff Martin, Shawn Webster, Keith Gates, Brad Kirchner, Walter Morris, Larry Mohr, Tim Branch, and Randy Mathes served as pallbearers. Rick Fischer, Gary Howell, Roy Hooper, Jackie March, Gary Smith, and Mark Humes served as honorary pallbearers. Visitation was from 12-8 p.m., with the family present from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the Gerth Funeral Home in Memphis. Memorials are suggested to Mr. Golbricht's Children's Education Fund and can be left at or mailed to the Gerth Funeral Service, Memphis, MO.
Arrangements were under the direction of Gerth Funeral Service from their Memphis chapel.
