ESSEX, Jesse [b. about 1834 in OH] located in the 1870 MO census for Clark Co. with his wife, Elizabeth b. TN age 26 with them is a son, Paul age 2 yrs. b. MO. This man maybe the half brother of my ancestor, David O. ESSEX [d. 1864 MS]. David had a brother living in Atchison Co., MO at this same time. I have no more information than this, however, there is a Jessie P. ESSEX who served with the 3rd MO Cavalry who later lived in NE. Would appreciate any help in acquiring information this man and his family.

BEDELL, William, m. Nancy Sculor (Sailor) and son John. John was born in Bath Co., KY, 25th Sep. 1817 and moved at age 13 to Montgomery Co., MO and two years later emigrated with his parents to Clark Co., MO settling on the Des Moines River. Other family members include: Samuel b 1821, William R., Jonathan S., David S., James, Dilila C., Alfred, Nancy T. Bedell. David was married in St. Patrick's Church Clark Co., MO in 1859. I would appreciate information on this family and particularly share family information with anyone.

I am searching for POLING family members in Clark County at the turn of the century. Henry Lee POLING and Ida A JONES had 5 children from 1880 to 1893:� Martha Ann POLING (who married Elmer Mc_CARTNEY), � Earl J POLING, Virgil HARRISON (who married Lola May SMITH of Lewis Co in 1908),� Clarence Henry POLING (who married Lila Rose BELL), and� Merle Edith POLING, my grandmother. Upon the dissertion of Ida, the family was separated.� Virgil H POLING was adopted by Eliza A TRIPLETT of Lewis Co, Mo. and Merle Edith was adopted by the SUTTON family of Lewis Co. I am interested in finding the death place and date of Ida A POLING as well as any information on the Poling children. Wayne L Kuntze
