SINGMASTER posted by Kent Carlson on Friday, November 22, 2002

I am looking for information on the SINGMASTER family that moved to Clark County, MO in 1843 from PA. Charles SINGMASTER owned 240 acres for some time there. In 1854 Charles moved to Washington County, Iowa and purchased 200 acres. I don't know how long he kept the Clark County land or exactly where it was.
Love to know more!!!

MORRISON posted by Carl Crabtree on Sunday, November 24, 2002

Looking for information on William B. and Robert S. MORRISON who moved from Fayette County KY to CLark Co. MO around 1838. Records indicate they bought land there (Land Grant #14273). I believe them to be related to Archibald MORRISON, My GGGGrandfather.

HAYS posted by Carl on Friday, November 29, 2002

Do you have anything on Robert C. HAYS of Clark County. He was a brother-in-law to Archibald MORRISON. Both bought land in Clark County. On April 1, 1839, there is a record of Archibald along with a Robert C. HAYS (brother in law) purchasing 159.7 acres (cert. number 14958).
Did Robert have any family according to census reports? I wonder what happened to him? Archibald moved to Saline County around 1855. I wonder if it was because Archibald was pro-south???
Any thoughts would be nice...
Thanks Carl

DECKER, SAMPSON posted by Jason Cockfield on Saturday, November 30, 2002

I am searching for any information on the DECKER Family of Clark County, Missouri. More specifically, the family of Joseph DECKER III, who married Veturia SAMPSON. Joseph DECKER died during the War Between the States and is supposedly buried in Clark County. After his death, his widow and few young children moved south and east eventually settling in or near Olney, IL. All information would be appreciated that would shed some light on the DECKER Family and their life while in Missouri. The knowledge of the burial place for Joseph DECKER is much desired
....Thanks again....
