BLISS, LYLE posted by Philip Moon on Saturday, March 3, 2001

Alta Mae (BLISS) LYLE is said to have been born in Marysville, MO. I approximate her date of birth to be 1850 to 1870 timeframe. I have not located her parents as of yet. She married John O. LYLE of Stuart, IA. The only child I am aware of is my great grandfather, Dean C. LYLE. Dean was born in Waterbury, Nebraska in 4/16/1896. Is there anyone with information relative to Alta Mae Bliss and/or her parents. Please advise. Thanks Heather (Lyle) DeCarlo

ELIAS, PRIEBE posted by Alana Kirkpatrick on Sunday, March 11, 2001

Hi, I am looking for connections to my PRIEBE line, in and around Clark Co, MO. I have Wilhelm Heinrich Erdmann PRIEBE, immigrant from Stettin Germany, living in the Clark Co area. Died 1915, buried in Etna Cemetary, Scotland Co. MO. He was married to Dorothy (ELIAS). Their children include : Samuel, Albert, George, Paul, Henry, Mary, Lydia, Ben. My line comes through Samuel, whose son emigrated to Mississippi in the 1930's. I understand there is a very large bunch of Priebe descendants living in the Clark Co area. I have not been able to reach any on-line. Perhaps this will help. Thanks! Alana Kirkpatrick Nashville, TN

KNOTTS, WILSEY posted by Bob Knotts on Thursday, March 22, 2001

Looking for information on the death of Caroline KNOTTS. She was b in 1845, probably in Clark co MO. Her parents, Wm and Sylvia (WILSEY) KNOTTS were m in Nauvoo, Hancock co, IL in 1844. In 1845 they went to Oregon on the Oregon trail. There is no record of what happened to Caroline. But there is no record of her being on the trip, or being in Oregon. There were WILSEY's who "roamed " around Lee co, IA,Hancock co IL, and Clark co MO, so since Caroline was listed as being born in MO., I believe she was probably born in Clark co. Bob KNOTTS. raknotts@qwest.net I live in PHX,AZ.
