GRAY, POLLOCK posted by Penny Pollock on Thursday, April 5, 2001

I am researching John POLLOCK, wife Isabell (McLAIN) POLLOCK, and family who were in Lee Co IA in 1850 census and in Clark Co, MO in 1860 census. Actually, John is not listed in 1860 and may have died as he was 54 in 1850 census. John came from PA by way of Ohio where his 1st children were born (John, Samuel, William, Wilson, Rachel, and Sarah) Margaret and Lydia were born in IA and John C, Mary S, Amanda E and one other daughter whose name is incomplete were born in MO. Probably moved to MO between 1850 and 1852. Isabell is 2nd wife of John. Looking for information on John's 1st wife, parents of John and Isabell. John C POLLOCK is my husbands ggrandfather and some how he ended up in Danville, Vermilion Co, IL by 1900. William POLLOCK (30)is listed with his wife Mariah F (GRAY) (23) and sister Rachel (25) in 1860 census in Madison Township, Clark Co, MO. William and Mariah were married Apr 19, 1860. Wilson POLLOCK(28)is also in Madison with wife Malinda (??) POLLOCK (20) and daughter Mary (1)in 1860 census.

COOPER posted by Jodi Nielson on Thursday, April 26, 2001

I have COOPERS who moved thru Clark County, MO between 1853 and 1859. According to a bio, the family left New York and came to Clark Cty in 1853. They then left there for Madison and Boone Counties, Iowa in 1859. Two brothers, Freedom B. and Silas, have children that were born in 1858/1859. Their parents were Asa and Orpha (BENNET) COOPER. Other children were: Evalinda, Sarah, Miles, Miles Wesley, Ann Marie, Homer/Warren, Amos, Charles and Mary Minerva. There are several of us working on this clan and would love to find more cousins to complete the picture.
