I am researching the GALLOUP name, looking for the place where my gg grandfather died. His name was Benjamin GALLOUP, b. est. 1794 in PA. He was married twice. 1st. Tryphena (HULBERT) GALLOUP. one son: Austin GALLOUP b. 1821 2nd. wife Sarah (MC_FALL) GALLOUP, they lived in PA. and had 5 children, John GALLOUP b. 1826, David GALLOUP b. 1827, Benjamin GALLOUP b.1830, Ann GALLOUP b. 1835 and James GALLOUP 1845. We believe they migrated west, we have Benjamin GALLOUP on 1850 census in Montgomery co. Ill. and then his wife was in Clark Co. Mo. in 1865. I have a letter I am attaching written to my g grandfather, from his half brother Benjamin, The letter makes me believe that Benjamin GALLOUP sr. died in Mo. or Ill. as there was no mention of him in letter. Searching for data on William M. COLE, my gr-grandfather,. b. 1832/3, census indicates PA; m. between 1854-1859 and d. between 1870-1880, probably Clark Co., since he appears in Clark Co. Census 1860 in St. Francisville area, and his widow is still in Clark Co. 1880. His wife was Mary Jane RIDGEWAY (GLOVER by first marriage), who is listed as his widow 1880, Clark Co., MO. They had four children: 1) Laura Belle COLE, b. 1859, IL .who m. 1880 John Osborn STANLEY, b. Alexandria, Clark Co., MO. 2) Emma Eva COLE, b. June 27, 1867, m. 1) John J. HOVER; m. 2) Wm. J.
