MONTGOMERY, RAVENSCRAFT, WAYLAND posted by Janice Lautier on Monday, May 17, 1999

Seeking information regarding John MONTGOMERY (b. Feb. 25, 1804 - Kentucky, d. Nov. 26, 1871 - Texas). He married Elizabeth (RAVENSCRAFT) MONTGOMERY on March 27, 1831 in Pike County, Missouri. Shortly thereafter they moved to Clark County, Missouri where in 1832 their daughter Rebecca MONTGOMERY was born. Rebecca married William WAYLAND in Clark County about 1848. The Montgomerys and Waylands then moved to Texas. I would like to prove the relationship between John MONTGOMERY and his father William MONTGOMERY. It is not known if William lived in Clark County or not. Any information on this family would be appreciated. Janice Lautier

BOWEN, CHRISTY posted by Elnora Brown on Wednesday, May 19, 1999

I am looking for records of Andrew and Ann (??) BOWEN from KY. On the 1850 census, it shows a son , William BOWEN still at home. I would like to know where Andrew and Ann (??) BOWEN are buried also when they came to MO. I think they are my gr grandfather, William A BOWEN'S parents. William A married Emily Marilda CHRISTY in 1855. Sometime in the 60s they moved to Illinois. They moved back to Lewis Co about 1880.They had a son, Robert or Bob, at home in the 1900 census. Does anybody know about these people? Thank you, Elnora Bowen SWTEB@aol.com
