, COLE posted by Robert & Janice Cole on Saturday, December 6, 1997

I am looking for information on David COLE, who was the father of James COLE. James Cole was born in Clark County Missouri in 1863. David is listed on James Coles' death certificate, as "fathers' name - David COLE", "fathers' place of birth - Virginia". I have no information on David Cole's wife's name or any siblings. And - have no information on Cole family prior to David. Shreds of Old family stories: 1] "the boys had a fight and split up during the civil war". Presume this means David Cole and his brothers, cousins, uncles, father, etc. 2] ___________ Cole was "married to an Indian Princess". Presume this means that at least one wife in David's (or previous) generation was Native American. Any information would be very deeply appreciated. Will respond and share information.

My grandparents lived in and around the Clark County area for many years in the early 1900's. I was wondering if there are and family left. The names were Charles Elden RITTER and he married Rose Luetta DORAN who was related to the SHUMAN and SHANNON family. Grandma is still alive, but is 86 years old. I was just wondering if there were any the that side of my house still around.
