HUDNALL, PLATT, ZELLAH, ZILLAH posted by Vickie Trotter Carter on Sunday, September 6, 1998

Looking for information on the marriage or marriages of Jesse James HUDNALL in Clark County. I am certain one marriage took place in Kahoka to Edith Tabitha PLATT, around 1930-35. The other took place with ZILLAH / ZELLAH, unknown maiden, in Missouri, but not sure where or when (1910 -15?). I am most interested in the maiden name of Zillah, the date and place of their marriage. Jesse may also have just gone by J. J. or Jess. Thank you, Vickie Trotter Carter

RAINE posted by Pat Hanning on Sunday, September 27, 1998

Hello, I am in desperate need of a 1900 Clark Co. Census lookup. I have been to all my local genealogy societies, have contacted several regional libraries, and spent the past month searching the internet, but cannot locate any Census info on Clark County, MO for 1900 or there-about. If anyone out there has access to this census.... I would be so very very grateful if you would do a look-up for me. I am looking for my G Ggrandfather, Clarence Erwin RAINE and his father, Oscar Turner RAINE. Clarence would've been born sometime between Dec 1890 through Dec 1891 (per his son's birth certificate "aged 24"). Also, the birth record only showed Clarence being born in "MO". But a woman I am corresponding with says that she had a relative "Oscar Turner RAINE" (I believe this is my line), that lived in/around Clark County, MO. (Fairmont, also/to?) I believe that Erwin should be shown on the 1900 census, with his father...Clarence moved to Portland, Oregon sometime before 1915 (the birth date of his son). He was divorced from his wife in June 1918 in Portland, Oregon. He may have stayed in Oregon, or may have moved back home to MO after the divorce? Please.... If you can help, would you please email me...Thank you very much for your time! Pat Hanning

MARROH, PAINTER posted by Tonia Boothe on Wednesday, September 30, 1998

My name is Tonia Boothe. I am looking for cemetery books listing people buried in Clark Co., MO. I have just located my great-great-grandfathers death certificate from Bond Co., IL--he is George P. PAINTER (born Oct 9, 1849 in Ohio) died Sept. 18, 1924 in Bond Co., IL; but he is listed as buried in Revere, Clark Co., MO. I am curious to see names of people buried there? is there more than one cemetery in Revere, MO? does any library or society have a cemetery index listing book that I can get copies of the pages listing any Painters? George Painter's parents were listed as Samuel PAINTER born Ohio and Sarah MARROH (Marsh?) born Ohio. At his death in 1924 he was married to Nettie PAINTER. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
